The package:

The Roaming Spit is known for impressive charcoal spit-roasts - carefully, ethically and SA sourced. They promise incredible tasting, tender meat + perfect crackling, and the experience (and aroma) of my slow cooking spits will add to the experience of your event. The roaming spit have catered at (and for) a number of SA wineries with excellent feedback – and as some proof of how respected their roasting is, they've catered (by invitation) for events like the opening of Fino Seppeltsfield, and the international judging panel of The Adelaide Review Hot 100 SA Wines. Plus, they are a 'details' focused business and will make sure their planning + catering is absolutely seamless for you.

Please note the maximum a pork can feed up to 60 people and one grass fed lamb will feed up to 40 people. They order the meat size according to your numbers. A Berkshire pork will yield 60% meat and crackling whilst a lamb will only yield 30% meat so you get far more value from the Berkshire pork.

The Berkshire pork will be ethically raised by Schu-Am in the Barossa Valley (winners of the 2012 ABC Delicious Produce award for their quality + taste) and the lamb will be raised in the Adelaide Hills and be grass fed.

The roaming spit allow for generous servings per person of around 200grams of meat which is fully carved onto trays.

Included in this price is fresh certified organic (or seasonal pre-cert / minimal spray) salads prepared on-site- their two specialties are:

Tossed salad of tomato, cucumber, red onion + mixed lettuce, dressed with lemon juice, olive oil + Himalayan salt, and Homemade coleslaw.

Also included is slow roast potatoes (slow roasted in alfoil with garlic, herbs and olive oil) and slow roasted corn over charcoal.

To finish your perfect dinner, also included is thick cut Turkish bread (baked that morning) and authentic house-made tzatziki sauce (with organic garlic + cucumber).

If you have any vegetarian guests, The Roaming Spit work with Let Them Eat to provide delicious vegetarian frittatas in place of meat

$500 deposit required to secure the booking and $100 refundable bond on the day.

All food will be placed on a designated food table for self serving by guests with meat being kept hot with supplied Bain Maries.

*We do not provide a table service and do not recommend this option unless your venue has a commercial kitchen with heat lamps for hot meats.*

For dessert table, 8 white table risers, multiple white ceramic plates and platters, 2 gold or silver 3 plate cake towers, white food tongs, acrylic wishing well.

This price includes cooking, carving and placement of food on a single table. All hire goods are collected from us. set up, pack down, cleaning and return is by you.
