Important hire conditions.

The terms and conditions form the hire contract and it is important you read, understand and agree to the terms and conditions before proceeding with any hire. Payment of the deposit indicates you agree to our terms and hire contract.

RENTAL AGREEMENT FOR PARTY/EVENT EQUIPMENT

This rental agreement (the Agreement) is entered into between DIY Event Specialists referred to as the Owner as noted in the quote/invoice and the Hirer as noted in the invoice request booking form.

Rental period is 24 hours unless otherwise stated in the invoice and the Hirer agrees to return the equipment to the Owner on or before the agreed upon return date.

*A booking is not secured UNTIL the booking deposit of 40% is paid.

*The remainder of the balance is due on delivery or pickup in cash, or must be paid in full and received into our account prior to the equipment being released.

* A refundable security deposit is payable as per the invoice on the day of delivery OR pickup, in cash.


 

1 - The owner agrees to provide the equipment as per the invoice in good working order.

 

2 - The Hirer agrees to pay the Owner the rental fee as outlined in the invoice. The rental fees is made up of a booking deposit of 40%, Balance outstanding and a refundable security deposit. The booking deposit MUST be paid to secure the booking. no booking will be held without this payment. The outstanding 60% hire fee must be paid on delivery or pickup in cash OR be paid and in our account before delivery/pick up. The security deposit can ONLY be paid in CASH. The security deposit will be returned on return of goods in original undamaged condition.

 

3- The Hirer has on delivery or pickup inspected all equipment and found it suitable for their needs and purpose and acknowledges they will use the equipment in a careful and proper manner to ensure the equipment is returned in the same condition as hired. Items will be returned in an undamaged condition and unless otherwise stipulated in the contract in a clean condition. Excessive soiling will incur a cleaning fee. All damage to equipment will be the responsibility of the Hirer and any damage will be recovered from the security deposit and further invoice if required.

 

4- In the event that the Hirer needs to cancel this agreement, they must provide 21 days notice to the Owner prior to the rental commencement date whereby a full refund of deposit will be issued. Any cancellations within 21 days may rebook at a later time, or where no rebooking is to occur, forfeits the deposit. If the owner cancels the booking at any time, a full refund will be issued.

 

5- The Hirer assumes all liability and responsibility for equipment in their possession. The owner is not liable for injury, damage or loss incurred during the rental period. The hirer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Owner from any claims arising out of the use, misuse, maintenance or possession of the equipment. The hirer agrees they need to seek and obtain their own legal liability insurance necessary for their event.

 

6 - This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Australia.


 

The parties hereto have executed this hire contract as at the date of the invoice noted above.


 

Payment of a deposit signifies an understanding and acceptance of these terms and conditions.


 

If the Hirer does not agree with the terms noted above, they must not pay the deposit or proceed with hire.
